Univision and T-Mobile to launch Univision Mobile

On May 19'th Univision Communication and T-Mobile will launch Univision Mobile.  Univision Mobile was built with Hispanic Americans in mind.  Hispanic Americans are one of the fastest growing groups in America. Univision Mobile will be available at Walmart and independent dealers throughout the country.  This service will offer ringtones and wallpapers and information on Univision programming, as well as no contract plans.  For $30 a month customers can get unlimited talk and text. For $45 a month customers can get unlimited talk and text and up to 2.5GB of high speed data.  All plans will include unlimited international texting from the U.S. to select Latin America countries.  Customers also get 100 minutes to call mobile of landlines from the U.S. to Mexico and eight other Latin America countries.  For more information you can read about it at T-Mobile.

Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile offering LG Volt

Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are offering the LG Volt on their no contract services.  The LG Volt will be available for $179.99.  This smartphone runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.  With the 3000mAh battery you will be able to take a lot of pictures with the 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  The Volt also has a 4.7 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.  The LG Volt has some pretty nice features.  For more information on the no contract plans, you can read more at Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile.

Boost Mobile Introduces - Monthly Unlimited Select

Boost Mobile has introduced the Monthly Unlimited Select.  Starting at $40 per month Boost Mobile customers can use any Boost Mobile phone and get unlimited talk and text, and unlimited data, which includes 500MB of 3G/4G high speed data.  The $50 and $60 Monthly Unlimited Select plans are the same, you can use any Boost Mobile device and get unlimited talk and text, and unlimited data but get 2.5GB and 5GB of 3G/4G high speed data respectively.  You can read more about their plans at Boost Mobile.

Kyocera Hydro Vibe coming to Sprint and Virgin Mobile

The Kyocera Hydro Vibe, which is waterproof, will be available with Sprint on May 9th and available on the no contract Virgin Mobile on May 27th.  The Hydro Vibe is rated IP57 for protection against dust and water.  This smartphone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz quad-core processor.  The 4.5 inch qHD capacitive, impact-resistant touchscreen display is good for taking pictures with the 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Follow Up Friday

Since AT&T's acquisition of Leap Wireless which operated Cricket, things are changing.  AT&T is combining Cricket and AIO wireless (AT&T's no contract service), to create the new Cricket.  Soon Cricket customers will have to choose a new no contract plan and device.  AIO wireless customers will not have to pick a new plan.  AIO customers will just notice the name change to Cricket.  Read more on the merger at Cricket.

Sprint offers International Call and Text Add-On

Starting today, Sprint is offering International Connect.  For $15 per month the add-on offers zero cents per minute to landlines in over 65 countries.  If you are calling outside the included 65 countries the cost will be a low prices per-minute rate.  The add-on includes zero cents per minute to mobile phones in 35 countries, and low per minute mobile rates to 30 countries.  All this includes unlimited texts to over 180 countries.  You can read more about the details at Sprint.
